Hey. I'm Tom. Thanks for stumbling upon my website.
As long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a musician. I started this adventure when I was probably about 3 years old, sitting in the front seat of my dad's car, listening to Eddie Cochran, Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry. I was singing along with every lyric, feeling the drums, the bass and the rock and roll guitars through me.
My dad also had a rock and roll band, and I'd go along to all of their soundchecks to help them set up their gear, and listen to the music, but I was too young to stay for the gig itself, most of the time.
When I was 7 years old, on New Years Eve 2001, we went to a local guitar shop for a look around. I found a half size acoustic guitar on the wall that I couldn't stop staring at. My dad told me that if he bought it for me, I'd better learn to play it, and so very quickly it became my prize possession. Most kids that age were into football or video games, but for me, I was obsessed with that guitar.
I'd play it for hours and hours every day, trying to copy the guitar solos I'd heard on all of those early rock and roll songs, and learning every chord from the 'learn to play the guitar' book that my mum had found for 40p at the charity shop.
I left school at 16 to tour with bands and started to write my own music. I discovered new artists such as Billy Joel, Keane, Brad Paisley, and formed my own music out of the influence artists.
I have been lucky enough to play in a bunch of theatre shows in the UK, Canada and Europe over the past ten years, with shows such as The Billy Joel Songbook, Walk Right Back, Lipstick On Your Collar, A Vision Of Elvis, and many more.
In 2015, I released my debut album comprising of 13 original songs, available from this website as a CD!
In 2019 I released a bunch of new songs including 'Mr Telecaster', 'I Hate Missing You' and 'You're Better Than This'. During the pandemic, I released a song called 'Same Old Story'.
Now, in 2023, I'm getting ready to release a brand new EP called 'Ruins'. I can't wait to share this music with the world as I've been working on it for a long time.
